Testing the new Lumix G9 Animal Detect mode, is it any good?
In this video I look at the newly added Animal Detect for the Panasonic Lumix G9.
The G9 is already a fantastic but sorely underrated camera, it is powerful and incredibly fast. Not to mention that after the latest update also capable of 10-bit video which is simple phenomenal. However Panasonics illogical reliance on Contrast Auto-focus can often lead to missed opportunities when compared to the blazing fast likes of Sony cameras. But in these test I found my hit rate substantially increased when using Animal Detect. Animal Detect is actually a very deep mode with lots of further settings to dig into but this was a simple surface level test. Enjoy!
